Yoga has shown to have excellent benefits for the entire body. As adults go through stress and bouts of anxiety, even kids get stressed. Yoga teaches kids to deal with stress in an efficient manner.

Like adults and parents go through stressful situations at work and at home, even children go through the similar situations at school and when partaking in extra-curricular activities.

Yoga-

  1. Yoga is the best and most suited instrument to help one come out of stressful situations and keep the mind calm and peaceful. There are many stages of yoga such as beginner, intermediate and advanced stages.
  2. Practicing yoga brings about an enhanced feeling of team spirit. Kids with yoga learn to behave like a team and win as a team. With yoga they come to realise the importance of team spirit and its benefits.

Yoga for kids-

  1. Kids go through difficult situations which makes them depressed and stressed such as sports, excelling in studies and peer pressure. With yoga kids are able to deal with day to day situations in a much more efficient manner.
  2. Yoga for kids helps the kids think before acting in an impulsive manner. Before handling a situation with yoga they can think as to how they would deal with the situation before hand.
  3. Kids who practice yoga are known to develop a spiritual bent of mind and they can get in touch with their inner self. Yoga helps the kids to deal with any situation which maybe hard, in a positive way.
  4. Yoga has shown to change the outlook towards life, kids realise the importance of nature, the environment and the importance of keeping the environment clean.

Some benefits of yoga for kids-

  1. Yoga aids to boost up the confidence in the kids. Yoga allows the body to be suppler for sports and allows them to stay in control. Yoga increases the sense of co-ordination while doing multiple tasks
  2. Some kids have a tendency to be hyper active and fidgety. Yoga tones down the hyper active levels and makes the kids stay focussed in doing one task at a time. The impulsive behaviour in the children with the help of yoga is shown to get channelised.
  3. Yoga poses such as the warrior pose and tree pose are known to be best suited for kids, these poses help the kids maintain good balance and allows the kids to stay calm and composed. After doing these poses on a regular basis, you would notice that the kids are confident and stronger.

Yoga for kids has the following advantages-

  2. Develops language skills and increases elasticity.
  3. Yoga brings about body awareness and improves self –control.
  4. Yoga enhances listening skills and co-ordination skills.

You must get your kids to learn yoga, and to deal with difficult situations that they encounter. Yoga educates the kids on the union of the mind, body and spirit. With the practice of yoga your kids are assured to be brighter, intelligent, physically fit and robust.
