Power yoga comes under the category of energetic exercises. It has proved to be both physically and mentally challenging. Power yoga helps to connect with ones inner power.
Power yoga is a combination of vinyasa yoga form. Power yoga works to detoxify and stimulate the entire body. It works along with intention and balance. This form of yoga is usually practiced in a heated environment.

- The yoga sessions are practiced in heated rooms and include various cardiovascular exercises which are meant to remove toxins from the body through sweating. It relieves the mind and body from tensions.
- During power yoga, the poses are done at a very fast pace, some poses are made to be held even more than the nominal five breaths. When one is made to hold one single pose for a long duration the endurance level is enhanced and the ability to concentrate is improved.
- The main aim of power yoga is to offer its practitioners a good aerobic workout, which is safe and effective.
- Power yoga is initiated with the salutations to the sun god, which also warms up the body and prepares it for further poses and asanas. After the salutations, one is made to follow in succession - the warrior pose, balancing pose and the triangle pose.
- After the poses, come the floor exercises and the seated postures and later the meditation or Savasana. Power yoga unlike yoga, is not stringent with the series of poses or exercises to be followed by the practitioner, one can follow any practice style, with what one is comfortable in.
