Practicing yoga on a regular basis is being fit from the inside as well as the outside. Yoga is synonymous with vigour and robustness. With the practice of yoga, fitness is incorporated into physical exercise.

Yoga can be categorised into the following-

Power yoga: Power yoga is categorised as a fast paced yoga, this form of yoga uses the yoga body postures. Power yoga aids in the strengthening of the body at a quick pace. Since power yoga belongs to the fit category of yoga, it allows you to be very fit. Power yoga requires a lot of practice and time. Power yoga is based on ashtanga yoga.

Breathing exercises: Breathing comprises an important element of yoga. For completing and doing yoga poses in the right manner, one requires to learn the art of breathing in and exhaling out in the most appropriate manner. Breathing properly helps one to stay fit as well as promotes wellness.

Fitness yoga: Fitness yoga deals with strength training through core exercises. One can either focus on the specific parts of the body which one desires to train or focus on the mind and the body. When the body and the mind are combined to achieve good health, one is known to get elevated benefits.

Different types of yoga are-

Bikram yoga: This yoga form is also called hot yoga as it is practiced in a heated room of 105 degrees. The yoga session while practicing Bikram yoga includes around 26 different poses. With the temperature being hot in the room, the muscles get loosened. The body is also known to get cleansed with intense sweating.

Ashtanga yoga: Ashtanga yoga is also called the eight limb yoga. This form of yoga comes under the category of fast paced yoga and intense yoga style. Ashtanga yoga is based on asanas which are progressive in nature and which are synchronised with the breathing pattern.

Vinyasa yoga: Vinyasa yoga begins with the salutations to the Sun God. The yoga poses work along with proper breathing techniques.

Advantageous of practicing yoga are-

  1. Yoga relieves stress, anxiety and controls temper. It brings about vitality and invigoration. The skin texture is shown to improve with yoga along with its anti-aging properties.
  2. Yoga aids in weight reduction and helps one maintain the lost weight. The body becomes strong, healthy and agile.
  3. Practicing yoga boosts up the immune system. With yoga you would be able to sleep better, stay away from frequent colds and coughs, you would be able to protect yourself from fatigue, headaches, wrinkles and constipation.

While practicing yoga, you should always remember not to over strain and push your body. You should practice yoga keeping in mind the limitations of your body.
