Improper functioning of our thyroid gland results in causing the common problem of gaining weight especially by women. Basically this gland has to perform the function of regulating the metabolism and energy levels in the body by producing thyroid hormones called T3 and T4. But the infected thyroid gland creates problems for the other organs of the body as well. Both the adrenal and the thyroid gland reduce the production of metabolism causing hypothyroidism disease in which even if a person feels like maintaining an exercise schedule he/she cannot as they energy level gets lower down to a greater extent.
The secretion of more hormones by the depleted adrenal gland reduces the amount of adrenal hormones from the thyroid. Almost all the glands get imbalanced. Production of right amount of hormones is the signal of ample amount of oxygen being absorbed and heat generated by the body which is directly affected resulting in gaining of more weight.
The weight gain procedure is so rapid that many people put on about 600 calories every day decreasing their metabolic rates. This problem directly depends on the diet schedules. The equation goes like the amount of fats you intake get greater than that you burn. Its not that infected people do not try to burn their calories. It’s just that your capacity to exert reduces on a larger scale.
Most people start dieting for reducing their weight but nobody knows that dieting rather slows down them metabolism. The more you diet, the lesser your metabolic weight would be. Fasting is sometimes suggested by dieticians but its harmful impact is diagnosed even after you get back to your regular eating habits which are again the decreased level of energy and body’s metabolism. Do not ever go on strict diets because starvation rather increases the problem and take a look at the body temperature periodically because many doctors relay on them before starting their treatments.
The common process used for detecting thyroid problems is a simple blood test. But sometimes it happens that even if a person’s blood test diagnoses a normal functioning of the thyroid, a drop in the temperature can result in what is called as Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome or simply WTS. People struck with this problem do get back to their normal condition as soon as their temperature becomes normal. The treatment used for doing this is thyroid hormone protocol.
The most common treatments for reducing weight or healing metabolism problems that are being used by many people are reduction in mental stress, yoga exercises, balanced diets and herbal extracts or naturally created supplements. The basic thing you need to do is to increase the level of metabolism and these treatments are helpful in doing so.
It would be better to consult your doctor before taking any treatment or preventive measure to avoid side effects. Though many doctors are not good advisers in thyroid related diseases therefore a specialist’s recommendation can only be able to get good results.
