How much smoking is moderate is asked by many individuals when the affinity for smoking is not much. It is commonly observed that during the initial stages, many people indulge in moderate smoking that gradually increases with time.

Since smoking is unhealthy in the long run, its effects on the human heart have to be considered. Continuous smoking badly affects the cardiovascular system in humans. Prolonged cigarette smoking damages the arteries that lead to deadly diseases like heart blockage and atherosclerosis. Hence, awareness about the risk factors related to smoking addiction is very important.

Cigarettes contain addictive ingredients like nicotine and carbon monoxide. Continuous intake of both these components causes ill-effects in human beings. Carbon monoxide is dangerous as it attaches to the hemoglobin and hampers oxygen transportation throughout the body.

When asked, even a physician cannot suggest how much smoking is moderate. People have their assumptions regarding it that differs from person to person. Moreover, many people take pleasure in smoking. For some, four cigarettes per day are moderate whereas for others, a whole pack is okay for a week. Highly addicted people have their own theories as they simply cannot put up with the cravings. Still, they can prevent themselves from the adverse effects of smoking if they take positive measures.
