A good skin is one on the most important ingredients of complete beauty package. You can not expect to look beautiful if you do not have healthy skin. There are very few lucky people in the world who naturally have a beautiful skin that dose not require elaborate care. However, most of us need to take good care of our skin to keep it healthy and glowing and skin cleansing is the first step towards a skin care regime.

When to clean?

How frequently or infrequently you must clean your skin is an important factor. You must cleanse your skin depending on its needs, as everyone has a different skin type. It does not make much of a difference when you choose to clean your skin, but, cleaning it before going to bed is definitely a good habit. Also, cleaning it first thing in the morning makes you feel refreshed and gives your makeup a better finishing.

How often?

Mostly, people clean their face 2-3 times a day; which is adequate for normal skin type but for oily skin, the requirement might be slightly more. In such a case, your skin tends to collect a lot of grime and dirt which sticks on oily skin; hence more frequent cleaning becomes essential. On the other hand, for a dry skin, too frequent cleansing might harm it and make it drier. So, it basically depends on the type of skin you have.

Tips for proper skin cleansing

1.      The first step towards skin cleansing is to remove your makeup because they contain oils that repel water. To make the cleansing more effective, your face should be thoroughly wet.

2.      Only use lukewarm water to wash your face. Water that is either too hot or cold can dry the skin, aggravate pimples and can break capillaries which will lead to blemishes. Besides, the cleansers work better when used with lukewarm water.

3.      Choose a gentle cleanser that is both mild and hypoallergenic, especially if you have a hypersensitive skin. Those with oily skin should go for slightly stronger cleansers that suit oily skin.

4.      Choosing a cleanser that suits your skin type is very important. The best cleansers are the one that are soap and oil-free. They prevent harmful reactions that other chemical based products can cause. Pore-refining cleansers containing salicylic acid are useful for oily skin as they fight bacteria and infection.

5.      Never use soaps to cleanse your facial skin because it dries the face too much and makes it rough and patchy.

6.      Do not cleanse too frequently. Cleansing your skin once after waking up in the morning and once before going to bed at night is quite sufficient.

7.      Exfoliating using a suitable scrub proves very beneficial. It removes the top layer of dead skin cells and instantly gives your skin its natural glow. You can do this once a week and can see significant improvement in your skin condition by

These are some very general and easy to follow tips that can help you clean your skin in a proper way. Follow this and find your skin glowing and beautiful naturally.
