The sleeping beauty might have woken up from her slumber looking as beautiful as she was when she went off to sleep, but this is not the case with most of us. Every single morning, as we get ready for our day ahead, we have to work on ourselves to look our best. A good night’s sleep can work wonders for your beauty, making your face glow, but this is only when you haven’t slept on your wrong side. If you have pressed your face against the pillow all night long, the blood circulation could be impeded resulting in pillow creases on your face.

Although these pillow creases tend to fade within a few hours, but no body wants a wrinkled face even for a small period of time. Getting rid of these wrinkles is easy and non exhaustive, but who doesn’t know about prevention always being better than cure?

 How to prevent Pillow Creases? 

  1. The best and the most obvious solution to avoid pillow crease is to sleep on your back. Sleeping on your sides or flatly on your stomach will more often than not result in pillow creases over your face.
  1. If you find sleeping on your stomach, or on your sides more comforting, then you should remember to make use of a silk pillowcase. It is smooth and doesn’t crease your face as much as a cotton one does. However, sleeping for long hours even on a silk pillowcase might give you creases. 
  1. Another way to prevent pillow creases is to apply a night cream or a night moisturizer before you go off to sleep. This protects your facial skin, keeping it smooth and wrinkle free. 

Getting Rid of Pillow Creases 

If you still have pillow creases on your face when you get up in the morning, then follow the given tips to get rid of them and have a clean, satin like skin:

  1. Wash your face with warm water, splashing it lightly all over your face. This will make your face alive, increasing the blood flow to your wrinkled face. The pores of the skin will also open up and the creases will vanish in a few minutes.
  1. Moisturizing your face with the help of a gentle moisturizer will smoothen out the creases of your face and will also give an evenness to it. Use gentle hand movements to lightly massage your face while applying the moisturizer.
  1. If you just don’t have anytime to let the pillow creases vanish through the above mentioned tips, which obviously take a little bit of time, then you can rub your face in circular motions to expedite their disappearance. However, this will redden you cheeks and face and the redness will again take time to leave.

Remember, it is always better to let the pillow creases disappear naturally. In normal course, it will take even less than an hour for the creases to completely leave your face, so if you are not in too much of a hurry, then leave the creases on their own. The above mentioned tips are meant to be used only if you have no time to spare.
