Herpes is a virus. Herpes in men is usually spread through skin-to-skin contact from active swellings to an open cut or wherever the skin has been roughened by a scratch or by heavy sex. It is a contagious disease which causes painful red spots to appear on the skin, particularly on the lips or sexual organs. Some information suggests that the germs may also be at high risk of being spread before the sore stage when the area is rosy and itchy.

Contact with an open swelling should be scrupulously avoided because of the highly contagious nature of this virus. If a condom can cover the area of virus, then the chances of spread are very low. This is because the herpes virus is transmitted by straight contact with the active disease on the skin.

It is promising to hear reports from couples, in which one partner has the virus and the other does not, that if you use the right avoidance systems it is possible to have sex and not extend the virus.

If you wish to have a sexual connection with a person who has herpes, you must admit the threat that you could get it too. You will need to understand the basics of herpes avoidance. In a new relationship, you may have fear about risking virus for a connection which may not last.

Then again, if you have been sexually active in the earlier period, you may have been at risk for herpes and you may in fact have it yourself. Keep in mind that many people with herpes don't know they have it. Because herpes possibly can be spread because of lack of symptoms; it can be hard to know when a person became infected-and via whom. Indeed, if you and your associate have had sex, it's even probable that your spouse got herpes from you.

If you want to find out whether you have herpes, a blood test is able to tell you whether you have HSV-2, the kind of herpes that usually infects the genital part.

Male Genital Herpes

Genital herpes, also recognized as HSV-2 or Herpes simplex virus type 2, is very sore for men and is in fact the mainly common STD in men. If a man has sexual relations with an unhygienic person, there actually isn’t much defense from contracting the virus by hand; in particular if you don’t like to use condoms.
