Our thyroid gland is located under the trachea or windpipe near the Adam’s apple inside our neck. This butterfly shaped gland is supposed to produce various hormones to regulate the proper functioning of the body. T4, T3 and TSH (Thyroid stimulating hormone) are required for burning of food inside the body. Due to the proper secretion of hormones by the thyroid gland, our body is able to maintain a proper level of energy as per the basic requirement.
