Communicable diseases are infectious that result from the infectious growth of pathogens, viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa, parasites, etc. These act as the carriers that are responsible for the transmission of the disease from one person to other.

When the outbreak is deadly, it even leads to epidemics. Across the world, various health care organizations keep a track of the adverse effects caused by communicable diseases. For example, world health organization (WHO) maintains a record of the major outbreak that is caused due to communicable diseases.

Many times, it is seen that the commonly occurring infectious diseases are caused by different types of pathogens or bacteria. The pathogens cause contagious diseases in humans while bacteria lead to the most communicable diseases like pneumonia, tuberculosis, streptococcus infections and diphtheria. Apart from this, fungi and parasites are the other agents that lead to communicable diseases in humans.

What are the Effects of Common Infectious Diseases in Humans?

As the infection is transmittable, it is advised to consider the ill-effects of the disease on the surroundings. A patient himself/herself should take all the appropriate measures. Besides this, it is also important for other people to take the general care, whenever they come in contact with the infected person. On the whole, the general cleanliness has to be practiced, so that the infection does not spread through any medium to others.

How do Common Infectious Diseases Spread?

The transmissible diseases spread in a variety of ways. For example, pathogens get transmitted through air, direct touch, infected objects, during sexual intercourse or through contaminated food and water. Sometimes, agents like fleas, rats, mosquitoes, ticks and mice act as the carriers of contagious diseases.
