Aroma oil massage is applied on different areas of the body to bring electrical and structural alignment. It is intended to bring balance to the body with its calming, mild application. It also helps in aligning and clearing the energy centers of the body without using force or extreme pressure. In aroma oil Thai massage, the people have always used balms and oils to treat various problems and symptoms.

Aroma therapy is the art of healing, using different aromas made from highly concentrated extracts of flowers, herbs, shrubs and other plants. The oils contain substances that have been found to be beneficial when inhaled or applied to the skin. Various aroma therapy centers offer a selection of various oils to satisfy different needs. Some of the oils offered are Asian Blend, Jasmine, Mind-Body spirit and Bamboo massage oil.

Use of aroma has been found to be helpful in diseases that are caused due to stress. Increasing scientific evidences have strengthened the basis of aroma therapy as an effective alternate therapy for a range of diseases. Growth of this therapy has created great scope and opportunities in health related industries such as skincare, spas and beauty parlors. This therapy is becoming popular in developed countries such as USA, UK, France, Italy, Japan and Germany.

Aroma therapy is entirely based on the use of pure essential oils. Over a phase of time, BMV has developed special formulations not only for this therapy, but also for body massage oils. Use of pure essential oils is however a requirement for such products. BMV is specialized in cost efficient reconstitution that is used in this therapy and body massage oils.

Benefits of Aroma Oil Massage

As per aroma massage therapist, Joann Danella the sense of smell is the only one of the five senses straightly connected to the limbic lobe of the brain and the limbic lobe controls blood pressure, breathing, heart rate, memory, stress levels and hormone balance. So aroma oil massage is not only about smelling and feeling good, but it can have reflective effects both psychologically and physiologically.

Techniques

Aroma therapists apply diluted necessary oils directly to the skin during the massage, by using moderate movements and force. During aroma oil massage, the blood stream absorbs the therapeutic or medicinal properties of the necessary oils through the skin. The therapists could also spread essential oils with a specially made cold air diffuser which spreads the oil into the air.

Drenching a cotton ball with necessary oils and placing it in a glass dish by the massage table for the customer to breathe in is another technique used during the aromatherapy session. The therapist at times suggests aromatic oils for mixing in the shower or bath for recreational purposes or to ease tender muscles after the massage is performed.

Professional massage therapists dilute necessary oils with a carrier oil-generally olive oil, almond oil, and jojoba or grape seed oil and never apply them directly on the skin. Undiluted oils might cause skin irritations. Likewise, a professional therapist never works on areas that are injured, applies pressure or aroma oil massage to people with blood clots.
