Diagnosis and Treatments of Heart Cancer
The best way for a doctor to determine a heart cancer is through various heart tests such as echocardiogram. On an echocardiogram test, a tumor or cancer can be clearly seen. Another definite test for any heart cancer is angiography. This test looks at the whole picture of the coronary arteries and the health of a patient.
Normally, it is very difficult for the doctors to cure their patients from any type of cardiac cancers. However, the heart surgeons may do a heart transplant to eliminate the heart cancer. Finding a donor is not an easy task, since; often the waiting list is very long.
Surgeons can also do an excision, which is partial to the cancerous section of the heart. Excision may help the heart cancer patient to have a longer rate of survival.
Radiation is not the most helpful thing for the heart cancer. However, the chemotherapies may help the person to relieve from the symptoms and help them to lead a better and happy life.
In all, when a person is found to have this very rare cancer, survival does not matter even after a prolonged treatment. Doctors have reported that, if the tumor is on the left side, the outcomes are better than the tumor on the right side of the heart.
However, to avoid heart cancer, try to maintain a healthy heart diet, regular exercise, low fat substance in food and a proper sleep. If you follow these factors, you will have a cancer free life. So, All the Best!
