We have been extremely ill since eating pre packaged salad on Friday night. Trying to figure out what it might be.

Friday night my husband and myself ate pre packaged salad for dinner, as soon as we were done I told him that I felt as though I had just gone to Macdonalds and ate three meals. We are very healthy eaters and rarely eat out. Within ten minutes or so we were both in the bathroom, we have unfortunately spent the greater part of the weekend there. Our stomachs feel cramped up at all times. We have chills, but are hot. My lower back is now starting to hurt badly. We have tried to eat other things over the weekend but right when we get done eating we are back in the bathroom. We are now having just clear fluids since this morning. But still keep getting sick. I have tried Pepto Bismal and Imodium and nothing is working. He now has a hemmeroid up inside. I am trying to figure out at what point should we be going to the ER. I would truly like some advice. I thought maybe it was food poisoning. But now I am wondering if we are dealing with something a bit more serious. My husband seems to think whatever it is will just pass.
