Sleep is a very important behavioral phenomenon that is beneficial for the health of our body. Sleep rejuvenates our body naturally and repairs our internal system functions. Lack of sleep gives rise to various disorders and diseases and it is studied that every one out of five individuals is reported to be suffering from some form of sleep deprivation. Whatever may be the cause, change of job schedules, stress, depression or heavy workload; sleep gets hampered under such conditions, which further results occurrence of chronic side effects of sleeplessness. One of the effects of too little sleep is lack of sleep hair loss.

Our hair is very sensitive to body changes and the growth and quality of hair get affected in case of any form of malfunctioning inside the body. The cause of hair loss is related to stress or emotional distress, autoimmune disorders and fatigue, which are also responsible for lack of sleep.

Sleep Apnea and Lack of Sleep Hair Loss

Hair loss can take place due to the incidence of several types of hair disorders. One of them is sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is the condition when the airways get chocked while the person is in sleep resulting stoppage of breathing for about a few seconds to a minute. This causes oxygen deficiency in the body and the brain has to take the action of waking up the individual from sleep. When the person wakes up the passage of the throat broadens and gets flooded with oxygen. But the person in sleep wakes up for few seconds and the entire process of chocking of the throat and the consequent waking up of the individual continues throughout the night.

The side effects of sleep apnea include feeling fatigued throughout the day, dry throat, headaches and such. Another very harmful disorder caused by sleep apnea is high blood pressure. The incidence of high blood pressure very slowly damages the blood vessels of brain, kidney, heart and other internal organs of the body. As due to the occurrence of high blood pressure the blood capillaries supplying food and oxygen to the hair follicles get destroyed, lack of sleep hair loss also occurs as its consequence.

If you find that your partner is suffering from sleep apnea characterized by loud noise of snoring, you are recommended to take your partner to a good physician and seek for some effective medical treatment. You may also take the initiative to help your spouse to reduce some weight in case he or she is over weight. You may even make your partner try out with a good sleep promoter like Melatrol that would be absolutely free from harmful side effects.
