There have been many researches done so far on how mobile phones can be a serious problem for your health. Though there are no evidences of mobile phones resulting in cancer or other illnesses, many researches claim that more use of mobile phones result in cancer or such other problem. In mobile phones, there is an electromagnet radiation that has some kind of link with cancer. These radiations are intangible and invisible which leave and enter your body without you having any clue about it which makes it even more intimidating. Take some steps and follow preventive measures against it.

 

Health Hazards of Mobile Phones

  • According to research, people get exposed to many chronic illness especially the ones who are exposed to low-level wireless antenna emissions. Symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, ringing in the ears, sleep disturbances, headache, heart palpitation, lack of concentration, and disturbance in digestive system are faced by people.
  • Some studies have also proved that women who use mobile phones too much face problems during pregnancy. During pregnancy, if women are exposed to mobile radiation, then growth of the baby gets affected.
  • In another study on ill hazards of mobile phones, it has been found out that radiation exposure from mobile phones and towers can give rise to adverse health hazards and male infertility as it reduces the defense mechanism of cells.
  • Memory loss and mobile phones are also connected to each other. Some researchers have shown that the effect of radio frequency can bring changes in the signals of the cells which are located in the brain. This can result in short term memory loss and can also make learning process difficult. The person facing such problem may face signs like dizziness and immense pain in the brain.
  • One of the major factors contributing in increasing risk of traffic accidents is the mobile phone. People who use mobile phones while driving are at high chance of meeting with an accident.
  • Some studies have also showed that if people get exposed to microwaves of cell phones, they are strong enough to break in their DNA which is an indication of adverse effect. Chances of brain tumors and cancer also increase with exposure to such waves. Some researchers also said that if you hold your phone between raised shoulder and ear, it can show damaging effect on bones, muscles, tendons etc. Such problems can also come with cordless phones or landlines. This can result in bad body posture.

Preventive Tips

Try using mobile headset, so that you don’t need to hold your phone next to your ears every time.

Try to control your mobile usage or use of wireless phones. Put some restriction on the usage of brief calls. Instead of phones, you can use landlines also.

Do not give cell phones to children below the age of 20. If they have to use the mobile phones for some reason, then restrict them to use only SMS messages. Tell children about the disadvantages of overusing cell phones as the risk of severe health problems is more in young children.

Common usage of cell phone has many adverse effects on your health. Try to limit down the usage of phone. The radiation that cell phone has is harmful to health. If such radiation attacks your body, it can result in many health risks.

Understand the health hazards of mobile phones and take necessary preventive steps accordingly. Mobile phones are something which has become common these days. With increase of mobile usage, the health risk has also increased. Hence, be careful with its usage.
