The most effective way to treat toenail infection is by taking up home made remedial steps. There are a variety of treatments that would cure your nails in a natural way. One of them is Listerine for toenail fungus treatment. Home made remedies like Listerine are very effective and perfect for treating infected nails as most of the drugs available in the medical stores may be efficient in curing the disease but not be safe enough for long term use. These drugs might cause fatal side effects like liver disorders or stomach upsets. Often treating the toenails by taking up medicinal drugs is expensive and may not be that efficient enough to ward off the fungus completely.

Listerine is commonly known as a mouth wash solution because of its disinfectant properties. It is also noticed that the mouth wash can also be used as toenail treatment agent. Many have reported that the Listerine have helped them to recover from toenail fungus even though its efficacy as a toenail fungal treatment is yet to be established scientifically. Even though the solution is yet to be proved as a toenail healing agent, the oil is largely used for fungal treatments.

If you are interested to take up a Listerine for toenail fungal treatment, you are required to dip your infected nails in a basin of Listerine at least for 30 minutes each day. Within a day or two you will find your nail to be healthy in appearance. But you are recommended to continue soaking you nails in Listerine for few more months until the old nail plate is replaced by the new.

Listerine works well if it is combined with vinegar. The cider vinegar is even more effective as a constituent of the solution. The vinegar creates an acidic environment which is not at all ideal for the fungus to multiply. Generally, Listerine is used as a solution where the mouthwash and the vinegar constitutes equal in proportion.

Since Listerine is a mouthwash and is safe to put inside the mouth, it can be easily confirmed that you will be safe from any harmful side effects on soaking your toenails in the solution. But sometimes it has been seen that the prolonged use of the solution can turn the nail slightly green in color. But such discoloration of the nail plate is temporary and will not last for a long time.

Apart from Listerine, Zeta Clear is also a medicinal oil that is ideal for treating the infected toenail. Like Listerine, the Zeta Clear gel does not cause any fatal side effects and is quite efficient in destroying the fungus.

Listerine is great! But what really worked for me was ZeroFungusS. After a few applications I noticed the changes and got my confidence back. I no longer have to hide because the fungi infection shot my confidence down to a record low. At least now I don't have to worry anymore.
