Eyes are one of the most important sense organs in our body. Below is provided a simple eye fitness test procedure. This test doesn't need any tool or equipment. You just need to answer some of these questions which follow below. Try to answer it yourself and put grades accordingly. At the end, when you have provided grades against each answer, just add them up and calculate out the average. Your average score will tell you how well or how fit your eyes are. If you wear a glass, consider the statements as you are wearing glasses. Do not answer it as your experience when you are not wearing glasses. Below are the grades and their values.

Now take a paper and pen and start the grading for every question that follows.
- While reading a text, the printed words seem to blur
- While reading, the printed words seem to dance
- You don't feel like reading if not necessary
- You whisper when you read
- You sooner get tired while reading
- You avoid books with smaller prints
- Reading puts you to sleep
- You need to take too much effort to read
- Reading brings eye strain or headache
- You read words one by one
- You skip words and need to reread
- While reading, it seems as if the print runs together with you
- You get car sick when sitting at the back seat
- You feel difficult parking your car parallel
- You dislike driving at night
- You feel difficult to say how fast cars are moving
- You feel trouble reading road signs
- You think you need to see something again, as you cannot judge it at the first time
- You feel it difficult finding how far the other car is from you
- It makes you nervous driving in heavy traffic
- At night the tail lights of the other car in front of you seem to double up
- At night you get fatigued while driving
- You feel problem working on a computer after half day in your office
- You get eye strains and headaches working on a computer or desk work
- You sometimes reverse numbers like writing 36 as 63
- You need to confirm that there are no errors in your work
- You feel it troublesome to maintain eye contact with people you are talking to
- You feel like backing away when a person is talking to you
- When exercising, you avoid visual activities like tennis, basket ball, etc.
- You feel it hard to catch or hit a ball
- In tennis, you feel difficulty in returning shots
- It bothers you to walk downstairs
- You often bump into things
- You are clumsy when you walk
- If you are not careful, you trip upon things and fall
- It makes you nervous walking in a crowd
- When you look up from a computer screen, things appear blurred to you
- You get headaches when you have to look very carefully at something
- Wearing glasses makes you feel sick even though you need them to see
- Things blur in and out when you look at them
Now, add the scores and calculate the average. According to the result that you get, you can analyze your eye fitness. Given below is a table that will help you to analyze yourself according to the grades that you got.
0 – Excellent
1 – Good
2 – Fair
3 – Time to start your eye exercise.
4 – Critical condition. Need to see an eye specialist.
