Lung diseases are now very common in the growing world; some can be cured while some can’t be. Curing lung diseases is the main topic of research in the developing medical field. 

Lung diseases caused by bacteria (pneumonia) is easiest to treat as compared to those caused by other diseases. There are some diseases that don't have cures; but lung functioning can be improved with proper treatment. Curing lung diseases is very important to live an active and healthy life.

Important Aspects of Curing Lung Diseases

  1. Some of the viral infections like influenza and pneumonia can be treated according to symptoms and helps to prevent permanent damage to the lungs.
  2. Pneumonia, diphtheria, bronchitis, cholera, tuberculosis, plague, Chlamydia and scarlet fever are the diseases which take place due to bacterial attack of the lung. In these cases, antibiotics help to cure them properly.
  3. ‘Pneumocystis jiroveci’ is a type of fungus that becomes active in patients with AIDS. It is present in the lungs and can grow and spread throughout the patient’s body. This can be cured by treating it with anti-fungal drugs.
  4. Treatment of lung cancer varies with the type of cancer. Chemotherapy, radiation and sometimes surgery can be used to cure lung cancer.
  5. According to research, many doctors come to the conclusion that, Viagra i.e. sildenafil can help patients of pulmonary artery hypertension which is a type of lung disease. Although it is not used for direct curing of diseases, it is used to increase the patients’ physical stamina.
  6. Retinoic acid, a derivative of vitamin A, has the ability to cure emphysema and it also helps to recover the damage of air sacs in human lungs.

Diet
Curing lung diseases can be possible with taking healthy diet like fresh fruits and vegetables. Healthy diet helps to supply all the possible vitamins as well as minerals. Keep in mind to avoid fatty foods, red meat and excessive dose of vitamin, and minerals.

Quit Smoking

Cigarette smoke contains carcinogens which can cause change in the lung tissue. There are chances of damage of cells lines of lungs due to frequent smoking.

According to research, use of green tea reduces risk of lung cancer. Green tea is rich in antioxidants which help to prevent lung cancer.

 

According to the latest Australian research, there are specific cells in human placenta which can help to cure some of the lung diseases like emphysema, severe asthma and asbestosis. They effectively analyzed this treatment on mice and published the consequences in American Journal of Respiratory of Critical Care Medicine. The study says that placenta cells can be successfully used as a cellular therapy for reducing lung diseases.
