Diabetes
· There is a need of energy to carry all the activities in the body. Every food material converts into glucose and breaks down into ATP which is energy needed to do work.
· As the glucose level increases in the blood, pancreas gland present in stomach releases the hormone insulin. This insulin converts glucose into energy and stores it in the cells of liver and muscles.
· In diabetes mellitus, pancreas does not function normally, as a result there is no insulin production; hence, the body’s metabolism gets disturbed.
· Yoga for diabetes can give the solution and improve the functioning of the pancreas.
