Before looking at symptoms of ear fluid imbalance, let us understand the term. There are several types of imbalances. It is also termed as balance disorder. This makes the individual feel uneasy and unbalanced. Person with this disorder cannot walk or stand properly. Even if he stands still, he has the feeling of motion or movement, spinning or floating. A human body is said to be balanced if all the body systems are working together and properly. The failure in one of the systems can cause imbalance. Ear fluid imbalance is one of them

Our inner ear has a very delicate structure, surrounded by a bony hard shell. It consists of two components called hearing organ and balance organ. These two systems are located near each other and share the same fluid system. Due to the movements of this fluid, these membranes allow us to hear and maintain a proper balance. This fluid is constantly recycled by our system. This fluid consists of minerals like salt and other components. The formation and recirculation of this fluid is very important for us to make our hearing system work properly. If it doesn’t happen properly, ear fluid imbalance can occur. It is important to maintain this balance. Even the foods rich in salt can cause imbalance.

There are many reasons for this disorder. It can occur due to ear infection due to viruses or any allergy to the ear. A severe head injury also causes ear fluid imbalance. There are many symptoms of this disorder.

Let us take a look at those:

  • Vertigo: The most common symptom of ear fluid imbalance is vertigo or dizziness. In vertigo a person experiences constant feeling of spinning everything around him/her. This often leads to the feeling of vomiting and nausea. Such a person cannot walk properly without staggering. The most common cause of vertigo is Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). In this the patient feels the intense sensation of spinning whenever he or she turns his head or does any movement.
  • Falling: In addition to the above, a person can have a feeling of falling down. Even if a person is on the ground, he/she feels that he/she is going to fall.
  • Ringing Ears: Ringing of ears is also one of the symptoms of ear fluid imbalance. Continuous ringing of ears leads to nausea. A person also can experience fullness in ears or in worst case, total hearing loss.
  • Lightheadedness: Lightheadedness is also an unpleasant feeling of dizziness. Sometimes people can faint due to this feeling. Also, some can feel a floating sensation due to this.
  • Blurred Vision: People might have a problem of blurred vision due to ear fluid imbalance. This blurred vision leads you to confusion or disorientation.
  • Diarrhea: The constant feeling of nausea and vomiting leads to diarrhea. Many people don’t relate diarrhea to ear fluid imbalance. But if your diarrhea is followed after vomiting and nausea, then you must check for the possibility of ear fluid imbalance.
  • Change in Heart Rate: You can find change in heart rate or also change in blood pressure due to imbalance in the ear fluid. Sometimes people experience fear, anxiety or panic. Also, some can feel tiredness, depression, or even restlessness. You can observe these changes in your system for a shorter period of time.

These are the main symptoms of ear fluid imbalance. The treatment to this varies according to the cause of disorder. Doctors decide the main cause from the various symptoms you are experiencing and then suggest a meditation. The meditation includes little changes in your daily diet and activities in order to fight the imbalance.
