  • Wash the affected part with water and soap appropriately
  • Apply icepack over your affected part in case there is severe pain and swelling as this will greatly lessen the swelling and pain.
  • Apply a paste of baking soda and an antibiotic cream for immediate relief

First Aid Tips for Insect Bite in Severe Reaction

Here are a few tips of first aid which need to be followed in the severe reaction of insect bites.

  • Provide the patient with antihistamine tablet
  • With legs going higher than head, make the person lie down on his/ her back.
  • Loosen the clothes if they are tight fit
  • In case there is vomiting or bleeding from the mouth, turn the person to prevent from choking.
  • Begin CPR in case there are no signs of inhalation
