The wedding day is the most important day in a woman’s life. You have met your prince charming, got his love & even fixed up a date for marriage with everybody’s consent. And now while waiting for the wedding day, you have started your special preparations, right from choosing the venue, menu, guests to your own trousseau, your jewelry, your footwear etc. Since the bride is the centre of attraction, so she needs to look her very best that day. So well, if you are the bride, with the help of your beautician/make up artist, decide your look for that day keeping in mind the weather & the time (daytime/night) of the day. But even before the D-day you need to take care of yourself, if you want to look as gorgeous as a queen on that day. So here comes in the following lines, all the wedding make up tips.

Pre- bridal planning:-

  1. It’s best to book your beautician at least 2-3 months prior to the wedding. Let her see your outfit, so that she can advice you on your make up & jewelry.
  1. Use only the best cosmetics & beauty products. At least 6 weeks before the wedding, start skin, hair & nail care program and start regular facials.
  1. Start using essential oils in your bath & attend at least one aromatherapy session. Skin rejuvenation treatments are also good for brides. And go for relaxing massage at least once a week.
  1. Try to avoid harsh sunlight, better move out in the evenings. But if it is necessary to move out, use sun screen lotions with SPF 22. Also stay indoors in case of heavy rain & chilly, windy climate.
  1. Undertake hair spa, body spa, full body wax, body bleach & facials designed specially for the brides just before the wedding.
  1. Before your wedding, plan out your schedule in such a manner so that you get a good night’s sleep to avoid under-eye dark circles.

Tips for bridal make up:

It is indeed very important to use correct shades since they complement bride’s features, gown & accessories. It’s best to highlight good features & underplay the imbalanced ones to make the bride look stunning and dazzling. Following tips should be kept in mind while getting ready for your wedding:-

  1. For smooth finish, its advisable to use heavy- pigmented cream foundation & top it with powder foundation to make it last longer. Foundations with yellow tones work well in flash photography so avoid using pink tone.
  1. Apply a single coat of powder foundation on your neck, ears, back, chest & all other exposed areas like arms etc.
  1. Concealer shade should be the same as foundation so that it blends well. Ask your beautician to use camouflage products so that you are free of any marks or blemishes.
  1. For eyes, use a shadow primer, a neutral shade as base & then the eye color on your lid matching the color of your dress. Apply two layers of water proof/ smudge proof mascara to add volume to your lashes.
  1. For cheeks make up, the cheek bone needs to be accentuated. You can opt for either a shimmer blush, glossy look or a matt finish. Pale bronze or copper is used for dusky complexion while pale pinks are meant for fairer complexion.
  1. For lips, apply some moisturizer/ lip balm & then outline with a lip liner first, filled with extra layer of long wearing matte shade. For the pout, dab a hint of lip gloss on the centre of your lips & purse them to spread it. Use a resistant lipstick as you’ll kiss a lot of people.
  1. Apply bronzing powder to get a warm, natural glow.
  1. Hair style & hair accessories need to be decided earlier to avoid last minute confusion.

So keeping in mind these wedding make up tips, you can make your wedding memorable.
