Every woman wants to be slim & trim. But no one is born perfect & not everyone can possess that much desired hour glass figure. Our jobs, family, home all take up most of our time & we are unable to take care of ourselves. But one thing you can do is to buy clothes wisely & intelligently that produce slimming effect. Only thing you’ve to do is to under stand your positives & negatives; then work out for emphasizing your plus points & de-emphasizing your minus points. Here are some tips for all body type:-

  • Be sporty- Don’t feel bad about your body instead be optimistic; try not to deviate from your exercise schedule & find clothes that flatter your looks & draw attention away from problem areas.
  • Experiment- Trial & error should be your initial key. Don’t be afraid of colors; black is a not the only option to look slender. Try other shades in different tones. Select a monochromatic pattern that goes well with your skin tone.
  • Fitting clothes- Find fitting clothes that define & accentuates your curves. Loose clothes make you look heavier & wider than you actually are, while tight clothes draw attention to wrong places & make you feel uncomfortable & self conscious.
  • Wear skirts- If you are fond of skirts, then it’s a good option for you. If you are shorter in height, wear knee length skirt, it’ll make you appear taller & leaner but avoid longer ones. If you are tall, then to elongate & slenderize your look, opt for ankle length skirts.
  • Increase your height- If you are not very tall, wear long pants & match your socks & shoes with your trousers to make your legs appear longer. Try to wear as much high heels as you can since they add height & gives shape to your legs.
  • Boat neck & V-line neck clothes- A boat neck has a wide collar, cut out in the shape of a boat & it sits pretty on the shoulders. It can be easily found in 80’s style shoulder jersey tees & dresses & it makes your upper body look slimmer. A v-neck outfit can help draw attention away from the middle area reducing the appearance of bulk at waist, thus producing an overall slimming effect.
  • Stripes & patterns- Vertical stripes create an illusion of elongation & make you look slimmer. You can also try out clothes with optical illusion patterns, diagonal stripes, and zigzags etc. Go for smaller patterns that overlap to produce a slimming effect.
  • Fabric- Choose fabrics that flow easily but avoid frills & ruffles since these materials only add to the bulk. Also try to avoid shiny fabrics such as satin or velour.
  • Avoid pleats- Try to avoid pleated dresses. Pleats do look good in shirts, pants or skirts but not when you want to look slim.
  • Undergarments- Hosiery can also help slim your appearance. Body slimmer foundation garments that fit properly need to be worn.
  • Accessories- Choose accessories that flatter your figure & draw attention away from problem areas. If you have a large tummy, avoid large belts. If you’ve a double chin, wear smaller necklaces.

By using the above tips you can easily decide what to wear to look slimmer.
