  • Feet Inspection: Be sure to inspect or check your feet daily. If there is any sign of trauma like cuts, cracks, redness or blisters, swelling or color changes, then you must report it to your doctor. Any negligence can worsen the matter.
  • Proper Shoes: Make sure that you wear a shoe that is comfortable and doesn’t hurt. You must be able to wiggle your toes within your shoes. Always look inside your shoes before wearing to remove any unwanted object if present. Always wear clean and well fitting socks and shoes.
  • Toe Inspection: Always clean your feet after taking your shoes off. Wash them with water and inspect between your toes.
  • Cutting Nails: Keep your toenails short. Cut your nails straight across and smoothen the edges. This will protect your nails and will keep them clean. Cutting toenails after bath or shower eases the process.
  • Avoid Self Treatment: Never try to treat the calluses, corns or ingrown toenails by yourself. Consult a podiatrist for all the above problems. A septic may occur if you fail to treat these problems in a proper way.
  • Prevent Cracking: Try to prevent or avoid cracking of your feet skin. Apply petroleum jelly or cream to your feet and heels if you find them dry.
  • Proper Circulations: Circulation gets limited when an individual sits with crossed legs. Try to avoid this. Proper circulation is very important for healthy feet.
  • Moderate Temperature: Protect your feet from coming in contact with extreme temperatures. Too hot or too cold temperature often decreases the circulation. Avoid using hot water bottles or heating pads.
  • Pump it Up: Regular exercise of feet is very important to improve circulation. You can ask a doctor or a healthcare professional to suggest you some exercises which are good for your feet.
  • Regular Treatment: It is very important to practice these foot care tips on a regular basis to have feet that is healthy and beautiful too.
