Foods to Avoid for Aging

Aging is something that we cannot stop. It is a part of our life. Though you cannot stop the aging process; you can delay it. It is not enough to just protect skin from outside by putting cosmetics on. Rather, it is important to treat your skin from inside that will help you to keep your skin young for a long time. 

 

Diet plays the most important part in avoiding aging. There are ample amount of foods around that are helpful to prevent aging. You should eat a variety of foods in this manner to avoid aging. Let’s have a look at the food that you should intake.

Foods to Avoid Aging  

·         Eating lots of fruits and vegetables will keep you healthy and young. Eat fruits and veggies at least 4 to 8 times a day to get maximum benefits.

·         Get minimum 3 servings of whole grains everyday such as whole grain cereal and bread. It has fiber and it is a good anti-ageing diet.

·         Salmon and sardines have omega3 fatty acids which are good for healthy brain function. You should eat fish at least 2 to 3 times a week.

·         Beans and legumes have very low calorie and hence, can totally fit in your anti aging diet. It is also helpful to keep our weight down. Have it 4 times a week. You can make various dishes with beans such as black beans in Mexican dishes and Italian pasta dishes.

·         Nuts contain B vitamins and keep your heart and brain active. It will make your skin young and soft. Eat them as a snack or you can also add it to salads.

·         Red tomato contains lycopene. Lycopene absorbs easily and quickly into the body. Studies have proved that diet rich in lycopene will reduce the risk of skin cancer and help to delay aging.

·         It is important to drink lots of water every day. It flushes toxins out of the body. It also keeps the muscles and skin well hydrated. Water helps circulation and all other organs in the body.

·         Green tea is the best option to avoid anti aging and it is also an anti cancer food. It will slow down the wrinkle formation and reduce the chances of debilitating stroke.

·         Eat berries like blueberries and goji berries. These are the super foods that boost the immune system and brain power as well as prevent aging.

·         Bacteria from yogurt to boost your immune system and some products with active probiotics are supplementary for anti aging. When you go to buy them, look for live active cultures or plain varieties. 

Food that you should Skip to Avoid Aging

·         Eating excess sugar will surely age you. It ages your skin, causes diabetes and other problems. If you need sweetener for you daily tea or coffee, then stevia is a great option with zero calories.

·         Processed food has lots of chemicals, toxins and preservatives. It will totally collapse your anti aging diet. When it comes to food, less packaging is preferable. Remember that fresh food is always better.

·         Beef contains proteins and vitamins, but its best to moderate the servings to keep heart healthy.

Along with diet, you should also avoid exposure to sunlight as much as you can and control your smoking and alcohol habits. Stick to the natural beauty products and exercise regularly. Remember that it is not the food that will help you remain young, but you should feel young at heart and then you will be young forever.
