Most of the people in this world crave for a healthy skin and a blemish free face. However, skin break-outs and pimples are perhaps the most common skin problem that people face. It is seen that approximately 90% of the people in this world have pimples and the age groups 15-25 are most likely to suffer from acne and “zits” or pimples.

What causes a pimple?

Pimple is caused when a clogged skin pore gets infected and inflamed. It appears as a swollen bump on the face, pink in color, tender to touch and sometimes painful. As the infection is tackled by the white blood cells of our body, dead cells and sebum debris accumulate at the tip of the pimple, giving it the “pus head”.

We often despair at the sight of a pimple and remain conscious for several days owing to its conscious and ugly presence and the accompanying pain. Acne and pimples also leave marks and scars on the face, chest and backs!

How to cure pimples?

  • The first thing that one must do is not to touch the face at all. One should be conscious that one must not touch the face not the pimple because we often load our skin on the face with bacteria transmitted from our dirty hands and fingers.  It is very tempting to keep touching the inflamed area especially when the pimple is soft and tender. But one must avoid doing all that unless one wishes to get more acne and scars!

Diet, medicines and exercise to treat pimples

  • Take a well-balanced diet including green leafy vegetables, fruits, and raw fiber rich foods and drink plenty of water. In this way, one is able to detoxify the body and acquire minerals to keep us healthy.
  • Wash you face not more than twice. Excessive washing may dry up the face. As a result the body produces more sebum on the face and one may end up getting more pimples.
  • Our bodies also require plenty of exercise so that the body sweats well and there is good circulation of blood. These practices should be a part of our lifestyles which can reduce the possibilities of new break-outs to a large extent.
  • Several topical applications of creams have been found to be effective for the cure of acne. These creams are not only capable of preventing new pimples, but also deal with the scars and marks that might be left on the face due to popping of the pimples.

Home made remedies to cure pimples:

One can try curing pimples through some “home remedies”, such as put a drop of toothpaste on the “zit” and allow the toothpaste to dry out the pimple. One must not leave the toothpaste for a long time, it may irritate the skin. Rubbing papaya pieces on pimples are also known to cure pimples. Mix a tablespoon of lemon juice in boiled milk and use as a face wash to cure pimples, black heads. Juice of ripe tomatoes can also be used to control the oiliness of the skin and prevent further breakouts.
