They tend to block the pores along with other dead cells and debris of skin bacteria and pus. Thus, these back acne appear as ugly painful pustules and leave blemishes on the back. The best option is to keep the back clean by bathing with medicated acne body washes that dry out the acne and also control newer ones from forming.
- Apply over the counter medicated creams that contain salicylic acids and benzoyl peroxides. They are affective in drying out the pimples again.
- In order to prevent back acne, it is advisable to wear loose clothes that do not rub against the ace which may just spread the infection further.
- Specially formulated medicated creams can also be applied on the pimples and acne prone areas. They not only reduce the scarring but also prevents outbreak of newer pimples.
- Regular use of oatmeal scrubs or rice powder mixed in yoghurt can be applied on the back and washed away after 20 minutes. Exfoliation helps in clearing up the back.
- Sometimes back acne may be more severe than imagined, such as cystic acne affecting the back. In such cases, it is advisable to seek a good dermatologist who can guide you by prescribing oral medicines and creams.
- One must drink 6-8 glasses of water and have a diet rich in minerals and vitamins to control acne on back.
